Sonya Theriault, Administrative Support & Community Relations Coordinator

Sonya Theriault joined Maine Center for Elder Law at Perkins Thompson in December of 2019 as Administrative Support and Community Relations Coordinator at our Kennebunk location.

As the liaison between our clients, attorneys and community, Sonya is likely the first person you will talk with or see. She will ensure that your contact with our office from the very first call is helpful and efficient.

“I have always been motivated to help people navigate systems and situations that can be overwhelming. I look forward to learning the many aspects of elder law and building my skills as I pursue paralegal studies.”

Sonya, a Maine native, spent the past eight years working in social services as a community case manager for individuals with disabilities, and is a Special Olympics of Maine and a Unified Sailing volunteer.

Graduating with a BS in kinesiology with a sports medicine concentration, it’s no surprise that Sonya packs her free time full of sports on both land and sea. Weekends find her running, hiking the “New England 67”, rock climbing, surfing, playing hockey, and best of all—roller derby!
